This exercise is about embracing simple and colorful shapes.
– Blank paper
– colors ( marker, watercolor, color pencils Etc)
– thick black marker
- set a timer
- draw a circle (ideally with yellow oh, you will go over this again with black at the end)
- draw shapes inside the circle, consider a simple design like flowers or kidney shapes
- color in these shapes
- go over the boundary lines with the thick black marker
This is an exercise inspired by Louis Comfort Tiffany who pioneered the decorative arts in the Art Nouveau movement.
